Hi and welcome to Avenger Racing in Sydney Australia

The last updates on this site were back in 2007 due to a change in software we have been locked out until now. Our apologies to those supporters who follow us at every meeting and ask about the site.

We have been campaigning the Avenger Funnycar since completion in 2005 with great success. A little over two years ago we were able to purchase a billet Brad Anderson hemi and since fitting the new mill it has been very challenging trying to slow it down into the 6.50 cut off for Supercharged Outlaws. The addition of the PSI supercharger is amazing with strong boost carried all the way to the finish line and also making the job of taming the beast a little harder

You may well ask why tame the beast? it is a question of money and sponsors, we can afford to race in Outlaws and we have excellent wear and tear on all parts which enables us to run all season on parts like clutch, tyres, valve springs, rods etc.. etc..

Our goal is to stay at the front of the pack not kill parts and not get put on the trailer early

We have the same great crew and the car has never run better, the only challenge is running consistent times at over 210-mph every pass. Cars running in the sevens with auto trans can be a lot easier to keep consistant but we enjoy the challenge.

With the addition of an onboard camera we have been able to match data off the computer and also check for driver error to fine tune for this bracket racing we know as Supercharged Outlaws.

The race meetings have been going well and we have managed to top qualify at most with our next meet scheduled for Feb 2010 the Summenationals.

Over the coming months we will endeavour to update with more recent photos, plenty of incar footage and a blog on what we are up to.
